trilogy is a new long-lasting album recorded in Bologna at the end of 2012 as the new collaboration of ranter's bay and kERN. After "white matter synaptic transmission", their first album, they move in a new direction exploring dark and dilated atmospheres generated by the guitar and the electronics. A trip around post-apocaliptic landscapes created through bass and guitar drones, field recordings, noises, glitches, loops and voices. The sounds desappear and return during 2 hours splitted in three long sessions that explore different genres with different moods. Ranter’s bay is a place. An unreal and empty place. It’s the daviated and deviant crashed dream of a smashed body. It’s the constant personal research, obsessive and obsessed, of a new sonic dimension. It’s a grey and distorted sound, made by whispered voices and agonizing screams, by fragments of noise,by ethereal delay and deafening silences. A nefarious place where seek refuge and hide, far from lights and warm sources, isolated and glacial, unsafe and anomalous, faint and ephemeral, insensitive and senseless. Ranter’s bay is individualist dystopia which disintegrate itself in the underground to regenerate itself into boredom. Ranter's bay is a solo project by Niet F-n, electronic musician, sound artist, experimenter. The kERN project born under an exploring-loop research desire. All the samples played live by the artist were recorded by microphones or mixer channels, no music is created digitally. A possible definition for his music is radical-mantra-dub.
